Our Story

Chinar Residency has been welcoming guests to the beautiful hill station of McLeodganj for over three decades. Named after the majestic Chinar trees that grace our garden, we offer a peaceful retreat in one of India's most loved mountain destinations.

Under the new management of Kaushal Properties, we have renewed our commitment to providing warm hospitality, clean and comfortable rooms, and memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

The Town

McLeodganj, often called "Little Lhasa," is the home of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. This vibrant hill station blends Tibetan Buddhist culture with Indian charm, offering monasteries, cafés, markets, and stunning Himalayan views at 6,831 feet altitude.

Mar–Jun: Pleasant (15–30°C), ideal for trekking. Jul–Sep: Monsoon, lush green, occasional rain. Oct–Nov: Clear skies, perfect weather (10–22°C). Dec–Feb: Cold (0–10°C), occasional snowfall — magical but pack warm!

By Air

Gaggal Airport (Kangra) is 15 km away. Taxis available to McLeodganj.

By Road

Delhi (480 km, 10 hrs), Chandigarh (250 km, 6 hrs), Manali (235 km, 7 hrs). HRTC and Volvo buses available.

By Train

Pathankot (90 km) is the nearest major station. Kangra Valley Railway for a scenic narrow-gauge experience.
